Dr. NV Vyomokesha Himanshu, Professor of Ophthalmology, Adichunchanagiri Medical College, Bellur. Former professor and HOD of Ophthalmology, Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences. Passed away in peace today .
Son of Sri ND Venkatesh, Chief Justice of High Court of Karnataka, Dr Himanshu did his early schooling in Shimoga, studied medicine in BMC Bangalore and MS in Ophthalmology in Manipal.
He served 28 years in KIMS out of which 17 years were as Head of the Department of Ophthalmology.
He continued as Professor of Ophthalmology, Adichunchanagiri Medical College, Bellur till he passed away in peace today.
He is remembered as a very jovial person by his close colleagues, who could make even a depressed man laugh in 5  minutes.
Always a people’s man, very articulate and friendly and never had an enemy in personal and professional life.
He had a special interest in Rifle shooting & wild life and spent considerable time and effort in these pursuits.
Managing Committee of BOS prays for his Peace and to bestow adequate strength to his family, friends and students to bear this irreparable loss.
